Reports to: Accounting Manager
Job Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the Accounting Department in a variety of functions, including billing, accounts payable and receivable, data entry, and statistical analysis projects. This is an excellent internship opportunity to learn and gain real world experience in the field of Accounting.
Essential Duties
- Assist personnel in Billing.
- Accounts Payable processing.
- Reconciling general ledger account and bank statements.
- Assist personnel in preparation of audit documents.
- Assist personnel in data collection and entry.
- Organizes department records, data, and documentation.
- Miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned and required.
Essential Qualifications
- Must be a high school graduate and enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree Program in Accounting, Finance or related field preferably in junior standing.
- Must show strong academic credentials.
- Ability to work in a team environment efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in the use of computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must maintain a valid Michigan Driver’s License.
- Must be 18 years old.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Normal office environment with minimum discomfort due to noise, dirt and dust.
- Mental ability to frequently handle pressures related to working on projects requiring attention to detail, and the simultaneous management of multiple.
