What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dive Camp Instructor position at Holland, City of (MI)?
This is a seasonal position under the supervision of the Aquatic Facility Operator / Recreation Operations Coordinator. This individual will organize, plan and facilitate diving activities for the community through the City of Holland Recreation Department. The Dive Camp Instructor will instruct summer dive camps being held at Bouws Pool. 1. Plan and conduct a curriculum for both experienced and inexperienced divers.
2. Create a positive environment that promotes sportsmanship and opportunities for growth.
3. Support and carry out the philosophy of the Recreation Department.
4. Maintain a positive working relationship with other employees and the public. Maintain a professional image, in person, through email and by telephone.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.
1. Must have experience and/or knowledge of diver as a participant or coach.
2. First Aid/CPR Certified (Preferred)
3. Lifeguard experience (Preferred)
4. Must be able to work mid-day during the week in June and July.
5. Ability to pass a background check.
6. Physical ability to occasionally lift/push/pull/transport equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
