Position Overview
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of freight, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while maintaining strong relationships with carriers and clients. You will play a key role in optimizing our brokerage processes and enhancing overall operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily shipment activities, resolving issues to ensure pickup and delivery is on time and updates communicated proactively
- Communicate effectively with carriers, clients, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Communicate with the sales team and customers to build and maintain ongoing relationships
- Work with the sales team to provide and negotiate competitive pricing and rates
- Input, update, and manage shipment information in various TMS systems
- Assist with billing and accounting responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in logistics coordination or operations (preferred).
- Strong understanding of transportation processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
