What are the responsibilities and job description for the PlayBall Middle School Coach and Coordinator position at Holyoke Public Schools?
Middle School Coaches are expected to lead the seasonal after-school sports programming funded in part by the PlayBall Foundation. Coaches would be leading at least one afternoon of intra-mural after-school sports practice in their school building while playing one game per week at the Boys and Girls Club.

Duties

Serve as direct contact with the kids and families to assure that they are having a safe and fun experience

Recruit students from the school to be part of the team

Lead players through program drills in a FUN and engaging way

Consistently move on from one drill to the next to keep the players engaged

Lead pre-game and post-game huddles that emphasize sportsmanship and mindfulness

Provide guidance to volunteers if there are questions about drills/ roles

Provide support to the Boys and Girls Club if any issues arise with parents or players

Jump in as admin support if needed

Report any player, parent, ref, or coach issues to the Director of Extended Learning

Instruct students to participate in the Hellow Insight pre and post-season survey

Attend Mandatory staff meeting
Stipend: $1000.00 Per Coach, Per Season
Salary : $1,000
