Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to join our finance team. This role will play a critical part in bridging financial planning, analysis, and accounting functions to support our company’s growth and operational success. In this role, you will assist in the development of financial models, support budgeting and forecasting, and work closely with the accounting team to ensure a timely and accurate financial close and reporting. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical background, experience in SaaS environments, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to both finance professionals and non-financial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Assist in developing and maintaining financial models to support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with various departments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
- Partner with sales, marketing, talent, operations, engineering and product teams to align financial goals with business objectives.
Accounting Close Support
- Assist in the preparation and execution of month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in account reconciliations and ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Support the design and automation of dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and SaaS subscription metrics.
- Provide actionable insights based on financial and operational data to support strategic initiatives.
- Assist in preparing management and board presentations that effectively summarize financial performance, key metrics, and strategic insights.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial and accounting processes.
- Implement best practices for SaaS financial management and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in FP&A or accounting, preferably within the SaaS industry.
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models, metrics, and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606).
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar).
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for dashboard creation.
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
Location:
- On-site at our Tampa, FL office
Schedule:
- Full time, 40 hours each week
- Monday through Friday, core business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM locally with occasional flexibility for collaboration across time zones or to meet critical deadlines.
