Positive professional who performs job duties in an office environment, keeping services running and available to the patients of the designated service area. This includes intake questions for new patients, computer/paper scheduling, office cleaning, assisting management, helping our nurses with what they need and maintaining a positive work environment. This is a key position within the office, service area, and team. The Office assistant will answer phones in the office using proper phone etiquette and will relay messages to staff as needed. Takes referrals, completes referral forms, and communicates professionally with doctors’ offices, and other staff. Other duties include; but are not limited to: Manages scheduling on Master Schedule and Schedule for CHHA/PCA. Keep patient charts up to date by scanning and uploading daily. (Scan, rename, and upload all incoming documents daily). Communicate any patient or clinical complaints to Director of Patient Services. Send/Receive Faxes daily according to professional standards. Works as part of the interdisciplinary team. Verifies insurance, completes insurance pre-authorizations, scans, renames, and uploads notes into charts daily. Enters time submission data daily. Helps track vehicles, repairs, and maintenance.
Medical office experience is preferred; computer skills are a required. High morals, good work ethics, ability to multi-task, being well organized, and detail oriented are required. Qualifications
- Medical office experience
- Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Certified Home Health Aide
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with basic clerical and administrative duties
- Experience in customer service and handling inquiries
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
