Front of House Manager

Homestead on the Roof is a unique rooftop restaurant in Chicago, known for its seasonal, farm-to-table menu, craft cocktails, and intimate dining atmosphere. We pride ourselves on providing an elevated yet welcoming experience for our guests, and we’re looking for a passionate Front of House (FOH) Manager to lead our team and maintain our high standards of hospitality.

Position Overview:
As the Front of House Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring top-tier guest experiences, and leading our FOH team with energy and professionalism. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong leadership skills, and understands how to create a seamless dining experience.

• Lead, train, and motivate the FOH team, including servers, bartenders, and hosts.
• Ensure exceptional guest service by upholding hospitality standards and addressing any concerns promptly.
• Manage floor operations, including table assignments, service flow, and overall guest satisfaction.
• Oversee FOH scheduling, labor costs, and staffing levels.
• Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth communication and service execution.
• Assist in hiring, training, and performance management of FOH staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting atmosphere throughout the restaurant.
• Handle customer inquiries, special requests, and reservation coordination.
• Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations.

• 2 years of restaurant management experience (preferably in a high-volume or upscale dining setting).
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on management style.
• A deep passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Experience with restaurant POS systems and operational tools.
• Ability to problem-solve, stay organized, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of food, wine, and cocktails is a plus.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
