Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure customer and patient experiences aligns with company values of providing access to consistent high-quality cannabis and cannabis knowledge in a manner that suits each patients’ individual needs.
- Provide regular updates, feedback, and solutions to the company’s owners across all areas of dispensary operations, driving success in an evolving industry
- Drive profitable sales through forecasting, scheduling, and acquisition of a variety of products and formats of usage.
- Partner with Human Resources, Compliance, Security, Employees Health & Safety, Marketing and IT on company initiatives
Talent Management
- Build and sustain a high-performing team through employee selection, ongoing mentoring, and continuing education on culture and job responsibilities
- Manage and delegate responsibilities to employees, setting clear expectations across all roles while ensuring a safe environment
- Ensure employees are knowledgeable of any regulatory changes, providing consistent coaching across guest experience, product knowledge and regulatory compliance
- Lead by example and by listening and incorporating strategies and successes achieved by all team members.
Operational Management
- Ensure compliance to all company policies, procedures, state, and municipal laws/ordinances
- Oversee inventory activities and work with wholesale vendors to ensure compliant deliveries
- Serve as point of contact for state regulators and local authorities, overseeing any inspections or audits
- Maintain accurate records of all dispensary activities including daily cash reconciliations, sales, deliveries and returns in accordance with the state regulatory agency and our own operating procedures
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of Retail Management experience required
- Experience managing teams of 10 in a high-volume retail, or medical marijuana location with a focus on team development
- Experience working closely with HR teams and processes
- Must maintain a high level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency. Medical cannabis knowledge or dispensary leadership experience a plus
- Proficient in MS Office, Google Products, Data Entry and Data Management
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a desire to compassionately problem solve
- A strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and product-related information in a professional consultative manner
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel and carry products necessary for customer service, inventory stocking and store merchandising.
- Able to walk up and down a staircase carrying boxes, products and other necessary items.
- Able to regularly perform store maintenance: sweep, vacuum, mop, empty trash, clean.
- Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable climbing step ladder
