Position Overview: Responsible for leading the activities of plant employees to maintain safety, quality, and efficient production. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, conflict resolution, team building, coaching and leading employees to improve; addressing complaints and resolving problems; documentation, and setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance.

Position Responsibilities
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Mathematical Skills
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate.
Able to apply concepts of high school math.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Technical Skills
The individual must have a working knowledge of the following:
Equipment design and capabilities can be translated into efficient operation. This also supports the supervisor's role of a teacher and trainer for his/her personnel.
Cost issues to make daily decisions that will reduce overall costs and help the supervisor find areas that require improvement.
Quality standards.
Regulatory requirements include but are not limited to wage and hour requirements, environmental and waste minimization, company policies, and personnel requirements, including OSHA, DEQ, and EEO.

May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.

Position Responsibilities
- Staff, coach, and mentor, evaluate, train, and develop the Shift Leadership Team.
- Analyze work orders to estimate staffing needs and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
- Compute amounts of stock and supplies required for operations based on production schedules.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders, and assign duties.
- Plan the flow of materials through the department and develop the physical layout of machines according to work orders.
- Interface with others in the company to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Inspect and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Direct employees in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist the team in solving work problems.
- Maintain time and production records.
- Route orders doing prepress with the operator’s input.
- Comply and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Safety, Quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Any additional other related duties assigned by management.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in the corrugated industry
- Production Machine Operator experience
- Lead experience
