The Position:
We are looking for a dependable individual with great attention to detail to join our upholstery team as a Footrest and Arm Panel builder in our Hickory, NC location.
This individual will work in the following:
Assembly:
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or specifications to assemble footrests and arm panels.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment to construct wooden or metal frames.
- Ensure all components are correctly aligned, fastened, and meet quality control standards.
- Perform inspections to detect defects and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Upholstery:
- Apply foam, padding, and fabric or leather covers to footrests.
- Stretch, staple, and secure upholstery materials neatly and securely.
- Trim excess fabric and ensure a smooth, finished appearance.
- Maintain consistency in upholstery application to meet quality and design specifications.
General:
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Work efficiently in a structured, repetitive production process to meet daily output goals.
- Identify and report any material shortages or equipment issues.
- Ensure finished products meet Bradington-Young’s quality standards before moving to the next stage of production.
Candidates that will be a great fit will:
- Experience in furniture assembly and/or upholstery, but not required.
- Ability to follow work orders, diagrams, and specifications.
- Comfortable using hand and pneumatic tools such as staple guns, nail guns, and screwdrivers.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.

Shift: Monday to Thursday- 7 am-4:30 pm, Fridays 7 am- 11 am
Pay: $16/hour
