Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences at our restaurant. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient seating arrangements. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using the Aloha POS system or similar software.
- Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant services.
- Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods and communicate wait times effectively.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and dining area.
- Provide assistance in other areas of the restaurant as needed to support team efforts.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for effective guest interactions.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent guest service skills with a focus on enhancing the overall dining experience.
- A positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and willingness to help others are key attributes for success in this role.
