We provide compassionate trauma informed care to individuals whose lives have been impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. We do this by providing compassionate and evidence-based treatment, aimed at improving the quality of life for those we serve.
We are currently seeking a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to join our Access and Intake Program. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping new consumers feel welcomed and supported as they begin their journey with us. About the Position
As a Peer Recovery Support Specialist in our Access and Intake Program, you will be an essential advocate, offering peer support and guidance to individuals as they enter our services. You’ll help create a welcoming environment, provide valuable information, and foster a therapeutic space where individuals feel safe and understood. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to consumers’ comfort and engagement while growing professionally in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
About Access & Intake
The Access & Intake Program at HOPE Community Services is designed to provide individuals with a seamless, supportive entry into mental health and recovery services. Our team prioritizes creating a welcoming, trauma-informed environment where individuals feel understood and valued from their first interaction. Through compassionate intake processes and personalized guidance, we ensure that each individual receives the foundational support needed to begin their journey toward wellness and recovery. Access & Intake staff work collaboratively to assess needs, provide resources, and connect clients to the programs and services that best support their goals.
Requirements
- Demonstrated recovery from a mental health or substance use disorder
- HS Diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation

- Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients, employers, and colleagues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with a diverse range of individuals.
- Empathy and Compassion
- Must be efficient in managing multiple tasks, maintaining accurate records, and meeting deadlines.
