What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Patient Coordinator position at Hope Health and Wellness?
Responsibilities:
Answering phones,
Scheduling patients,
Insurance verifications,
Reviewing benefits with patients,
Reviewing patient charts,
Working insurance denials,
Retrieving authorizations and referrals for treatments.
Working closely with our outsourced billing company
Discussing financial options regarding patient treatment plans.
Handle escalated patient concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient access or front desk role.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and medical record systems.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, as well as electronic health record systems like Epic.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, staff, and providers.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing a team or department.
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes.
