As an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Horizon, you will…

• Ensure timely receipt of revenue from Insurance plans
• Identification of payment and denial trends
• AR follow-up and collection, including replacement claims and appeals & maintaining workspace
• Work with Insurance Representatives and fielding payer calls to resolve claim processing issues
• Maintain current knowledge of assigned payer processes & updating documents/files as needed
• Run monthly cohort meetings for assigned payer groups
• Act as the expert and team resource for assigned payers
• Assist with month end processing including write offs and AR clean up
• Please note that this is not an accounting/finance position.

• Bachelor's preferred.
• Associates with 2 years of experience in billing required.
• Experience with payment application and claiming processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite.
• Strong analytical and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in team environment.

Hours:

Full-time, flexible daytime hours, Monday – Friday

Compensation

Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. This position starts at an hourly rate of $20.95 - $23.95. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.

Physical demands associated with this position include:

• Sitting for extended periods, alternating between standing and sitting
• Mobility required with repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements
• Handling light duties, occasionally lifting objects up to 20 pounds
