Purpose of Position:
The Operations Manager’s primary responsibility is to create initiatives that further the company’s goals by analyzing data and KPI’s identifying potential problems, identifying opportunities to expand or shift course to take advantage of changes in the market and working to find solutions to maximize efficiencies and profitability for all areas of production. The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall operations and for the effective and successful identification, implementation and management of production labor, productivity standards and metrics, quality objectives and safety measures as required to meet customer demands and increase profitability. The Operations Manager will be the primary person responsible for the current and future MRP systems, the production and fulfillment departments and all purchasing and supply chain management. The XS team is lean and strong and as a member of the strategic, the Operations Manager will play a significant role in identifying, planning, and driving initiatives contributing to operational excellence.
Essential Job Functions:
· Ensure we have finished goods to meet demand
· Manage the production and fulfillment departments
· Responsible for MRP software implementation and use for production planning and reporting
· Inventory Management – oversee supply chain
· Assess and analyze departmental budgets to find ways to minimize expenses and optimize profits
· Shipping / Freight Lead
· Oversee Hiring & Training processes for employees in production departments
· Ensure quality standards are met at every level of production and customers receive parts that meet or exceed their expectations
· Strategize Process Improvements to achieve strategic corporate goals
· Manage to data driven KPI’s and metrics
· Develop and implement systems to manage supply chain demand / procurement
· Maintain and increase efficiencies in production departments
· Help promote a company culture that encourages morale and performance
· Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing for internal processes
· Safety Regulation and Compliance Lead
· Lead by example
· Morale leader
· Be an advocate to leadership / ownership for your team
· Supervise assigned team:
o Act as a line of communication between the team and ownership
o Meet the goals, objectives and deadlines set for your team
o Monitor the performance of individual team members
o Ensure that your team is abiding by the regulations set forth by the company and the government
o Onboard and train up your team
o Give feedback and evaluations to your team
o Allocate duties amongst your team
o Ensure all team’s required documentation is complete and accurate and on time

· Perform all duties in accordance with all established quality and safety procedures/work instructions

Skills & Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in related field of study with at least 3 years of experience OR equivalent training
· Per Federal Law and due to XS being a manufacturing facility in the firearms industry, all XS employees are required to legally be to own a firearm, possess a firearm, or purchase a firearm.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining all required work tasks and keeping management appraised of company metrics and goals
· Willingness to travel to represent the company at major trade shows and other events
· Exemplary management and teamwork skills
· Experience with ERP systems and the Microsoft Suite
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
