What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Lead position at Hormann North America?
Job Summary: The candidate will be responsible for a mixture of customer service, warehouse work, loading and unloading trucks, as well as occasionally making deliveries on an as needed basis.
Major Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to our customers
- Handling and/or processing of related paperwork, as required
- Develop and maintain good rapport with customers
- Maintain and count inventory
- Load and unload delivery vehicles
- Must be respectful of our company image at all times
- Heavy lifting required to load and unload product
- Familiar with pre-trip inspections of trucks. Inform management of any problems or maintenance issues relating to the truck. Must operate truck in a safe manner by obeying speed limits and traffic laws
Preferred Requirements:
- Possess good to excellent communication and customer service skills
- Be able to read and interpret, in English, job related documents
- Be able to maintain focus on tasks at hand with high level of attention to detail
- Be able to follow an established routine and able to interact in a team environment
- Have the ability to do simple math (add, subtract, divide and multiply)
- Must be able to identify products by way of work related documents such as pick lists, work orders, shipping documents, etc.
- Effective communicate with customers, ability to do quotes and order entry
- Be a “self-managing” employee
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat to perform loading/unloading assignment(s)
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid DOT physical card, as well as a valid Class C driver’s license
- Must have a clean, professional appearance
- Must have PC / Windows / Office skills, SAP software experience a plus
- Be able to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen and background check
- No DUI or License suspensions in the last 5 years
