What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitorial/Housekeeping -PM Shift - Skippy position at Hormel Foods Family of Companies?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintenance of non-production & warehouse areas by performing standard tasks such as: sweeping and mopping floors, and properly documenting work
- Empties trash from offices, restrooms, common areas and warehouse
- Clean and sanitize all designated areas where team members may congregate; including, but not limited to, breakroom, conference rooms, restrooms, locker rooms, hand wash stations, and office areas
- Wipe down and sanitize inside and outside of refrigerators and microwaves
- Mop and run scrubber in assigned areas daily
- Strip and wax floors, as needed or scheduled
- Clean windows, as needed or scheduled
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment
- Rotate weekend (Saturday) cleaning as assigned.
- Notify management regarding need for major or minor repairs.
- Complete appropriate documentation related to cleaning.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Push or lift up to 50 lbs,
- Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing and pulling are required
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to read and understand Safety Policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, cleaning supply labels and MSDS sheets
- Ability to follow safety procedures and a schedule of tasks.
