Job Description Summary
The Vessel Information Technology (IT) Analyst is a combination of both IT Help Desk and Field Technician roles providing services and experience in multiple IT disciplines. The Vessel IT Analyst reports to the IT Service Delivery Manager providing support both shoreside and in the field to our Company’s vessels both domestic and abroad in foreign markets.
Job Description
SCOPE OF DUTIES
The duties of the Vessel IT Analyst shall include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical certifications a plus.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year or more of experience in troubleshooting computer network problems and providing IT-based customer service.
Skills
Must be willing to board and ride vessels to increase understanding of how this role supports our business.

Hearing: Functional, correctable to normal to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations in sound.

Mobility: Unencumbered by physical limitations to perform the following activities: Sedentary work in an office environment that includes frequent sitting, standing, and walking, gross and fine motor dexterity for typing and reasonable lifting of equipment up to 25 lbs.
HOURS OF WORK
Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am until 5:00pm and may be adjusted with approval by the department supervisor. Some overtime, work related travel (foreign and domestic) and weekend work may be required, subject to company operational requirements.
Routine Variable Travel Required (30% - 50% of time, based on project workloads):

- Field Technician: Installing, configuring, maintaining, and documenting of systems (networking equipment, computers, printers, cameras, etc.) onboard ships and in corporate facilities.
- Networking: Completing remote and onsite network configuration changes based on client requests and new installations.
- Cybersecurity: Participating in the Company’s proactive and response efforts.
- Bench Technician: Configuring, upgrading, inventorying, and documenting various systems and software.
- Help Desk: Assisting end-users with assistance requests and documenting the experience in a ticketing system.
- Training: Providing end user training on various systems utilized by the company and maintaining training documentation.
- On Call Rotation Responsibility: Answering and assisting end-users with after-hours and weekend assistance requests for one week approximately every 8 weeks.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
