Horne Brothers Communications, Inc. is currently seeking a Construction Coordinator with receptionist duties to join our team in Williamston, SC. This position is primarily responsible to perform a wide range of administrative and clerical duties supporting the company’s office and field staff. The position requires an understanding of the construction process and basic accounting practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer, log, take messages, and route all incoming calls
- Manage the front door; log all visitors and deliveries
- Maintain office supplies, break room, and bathroom supplies
- Assist Accounting Department with accounts payable and accounts receivable to include filing
- Responsible for general clerical and office tasks
- Prepare, update, and maintain all job books (hard copy and electronic), keeping files neat, current, and easily accessible
- Build, update, and disseminate project trackers as required
- Assist with the permitting process as needed; complete permit applications
- Assign job numbers, notify accounting, track purchase orders and invoicing
- Coordinate with assigned project manager to verify and order job-related material
- Assign purchase orders and schedule subcontractor crews as needed
- Review and file daily job reports for the duration of the project
- Manage and submit change requests as needed
- Closeout package finalization/submission
- Manage and track subcontractor agreements with vendors and subcontractors.
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- ATTENTION TO DETAIL
- Three to five years of experience in an administrative role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products; ability to learn new computer applications
- Excellent organizational skills, including multi-tasking and time management; must be able to prioritize
- Must have a strong work ethic and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as record keeping and filing
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company
