What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development Coordinator position at Hosanna?
Summary/Objective
This position is responsible for supporting Hosanna’s fundraising efforts by managing donor relationships, coordinating fundraising events, and applying for grants.
Position Requirements
- Maintain accurate donor database records
- Identify potential new donors through research and outreach.
- Cultivate relationships with existing donors through personalized communication, thank you letters, donation receipts, and regular updates.
- Plan and execute fundraising events, including logistics, marketing, volunteer recruitment, and budget management.
- Coordinate event follow up, such as thank you notes.
- Research potential grant opportunities and craft compelling grant proposals
- Collaborate with appropriate staff to gather necessary data and impact metrics for grant applications.
- Create donor reports and presentations, as necessary, to track fundraising progress and highlights.
- Develop donation marketing material and donor appeals to promote fundraising initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all funding streams and Hosanna policies and procedures.
- Ensure all aspects of the projects are delivered within scope and within budget.
- Monitor the effectiveness and results of each project.
- Represent Hosanna at local, state and nationwide conferences, meetings and events, as needed.
- Provide necessary reporting information in a timely manner per internal and external requirements.
- Contribute to a collaborative work environment, and promote cooperation, commitment, and accountability within the team to achieve short- and long-range team goals in line with the company's mission, vision, and values.
- Communicate clearly, actively listen, and build relationships of trust both internally and externally.
- Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality of client and organizational operations information.
- Safely use all equipment and materials. Follow established safety procedures, use appropriate safeguards, and observe common-sense safety rules in all on-the-job activities.

Travel

Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills, including accurate grammar and business correspondence.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize in a fluid changing environment.
- Must be organized, flexible, independent, self-motivated, enthusiastic, dependable, and detail oriented.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, or other equivalent education and/or work experience combination.
- Non-profit experience.
- Experience in fundraising activities and grant writing.
