What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Operations Officer (DON) position at Hospice in the Pines Inc?
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all clinical operations and services within the agency.
- Verifies the documentation of visits and phone calls on an ongoing basis for the clinical record. All documentation to be completed according to time frame set in policy.
-Analyzes the guidance to all field nursing staff including RN's, LVN's and PCA's.
-Works directly with Medical Directors to ensure patient continuity of care and medical goals are achieved.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of patient care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing with excellent documentation, comprehensive grammatical abilities and English as the primary language preferred.
- Recipient of a current license by the State Board of Nurse Examiners without restraints of conviction, felony, or misdemeanor listed.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with home care, hospice care, or related fields is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively lead a team and foster a positive work environment
