Job Title: Residential Roof Job Site Superintendent
Job Summary: The Residential Roof Job Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of residential roofing projects, ensuring their successful completion within budget, timeline, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and expertise in residential roofing practices and safety regulations. The Residential Roof Job Site Superintendent will collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, adherence to project specifications, and overall customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Project Management: Take overall responsibility for the successful execution and completion of residential roofing projects, from initiation to final delivery, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Supervision and Leadership: Provide effective leadership and guidance to roofing crews, subcontractors, and other site personnel, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to schedules, and high-quality workmanship.
Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including schedules, manpower requirements, and material procurement, to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that roofing installations meet or exceed industry standards and project specifications, conducting regular inspections to identify and address any issues or deficiencies promptly. Document progress through photos and videos, and perform a standard final inspection for every project.
Safety Compliance: Maintain a strong commitment to safety by enforcing all relevant regulations, conducting regular safety meetings, and implementing appropriate measures to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project costs and expenditures, closely tracking expenses, labor hours, and material usage to stay within budgetary limits and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Client and Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building owners, and other project stakeholders, fostering positive relationships, addressing concerns, and providing regular project updates.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, change orders, and any other required documentation.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project-related issues and challenges, such as design conflicts, material delays, and unforeseen conditions, in a timely and effective manner.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and new materials, and actively seek opportunities to improve project processes, efficiency, and quality.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential roofing (or general construction), with a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Thorough knowledge of residential roofing systems, materials, installation techniques, and industry standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and supervise roofing crews and subcontractors.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and project documents related to residential roofing.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry, with a commitment to ensuring a safe working environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools to track project progress, schedules, and costs.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
