Compensation based on experience. Entry level starting wage $16/hr plus tips.
The position includes but is not limited to cleaning, disinfecting, following safety procedures, and following cleaning procedures set forth by Historic Hotel Bethlehem.
The public space attendant is responsible for but not limited to the following tasks: vacuuming and dusting the main lobby; vacuuming, dusting and mopping two restaurants; cleaning and mopping public restrooms; cleaning and disinfecting fitness center; stripping and buffing marble floors quarterly.
SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Able to work independently and with others
- Able to multi-task
- Knowledge of cleaning products and procedures in a hotel setting
- Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
- Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
- Ability to deal well with people in a professional and courteous manner
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to communicate effectively and verbally in English. Excellent hospitality skills. Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends and holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have the physical capability to lift, push or pull at least 30-50 pounds. Also, applicants must have the ability to use abdominal and back muscles and be able to stand for the duration of the shift. Must also have the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists, and to reach and stretch, bend, kneel and squat.
