Hotel Sales and Marketing coordinator
We are looking for a passionate Hotel Sales and Marketing coordinator to join the Events and Experience team at Hotel Lex.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop an event management plan for events which includes comp set reporting, pricing, planned outreach with local vendors.
- Monitor the progress of the planning and execution of each task that has to do with the event.
- Serve as the primary contact for all Hotel Sales
- Make sure staff adheres to the company event policies that are put in place to ensure a smooth, successful, fun-filled event.
- Greet all guests for each of your events upon arrival and upon conclusion of the event. The Hotel Sales and Marketing coordinator is the primary point of contact for all aspects of the event from start to finish.
- The position requires 50-60 hours per week when an event is planned. Some weeks will vary-based on the event calendar and what is scheduled. The Hotel Sales and Marketing coordinator reports to the GM.
- Create a weekly forecast that details a Week of Week variance to monitor profits and losses based on revenue generated from the events
- Participate and become a member of the local event planning committee.
- Coordinate with local staffing agencies for personnel to help with event coverage.
- Increase Hotel Lex revenue by developing strategic sales and marketing strategies that will deliver results
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in customer service
- Excellent phone skills and communication skills
- Must be a cheerful, fun and energetic team player
- Sales and Marketing, Hospitality and Tourism degree -preferred.
- Years of expereince will be considered in place of a degree
