About the Role: Hotel Management & Consulting is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to join our growing HR team. This position is heavily administrative and will be assisting in various payroll and benefits administration tasks. HMC is open to new grads in this role and being flexible with schedules until graduation.

Primary Duties:
- Assist in administering various employee benefit programs, including 401(k), medical, dental, vision, HSA, and EAP.
- Coordinate notifications and other processes for annual open enrollment and new hire enrollment.
- Manage employee records and documentation related to payroll and benefits in HRIS, Paycor.
- Oversee and maintain employee files on SharePoint for efficient document organization and access.
- Manage and update the company contact list, ensuring accurate and current information.
- Administer custom access management for Assistant General Managers in the event of transfers or promotions.
- Support Daily Pay services to ensure timely and accurate pay distribution.
- Assist with payroll processing including off-cycle checks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
- Maintain and review overnight worker logs to ensure proper documentation and compliance of overnight hours.
- Assist with paid time off (PTO) management including tracking accruals and usage.
- Review and approve employee timesheets for accuracy and timely submission, following up with managers are needed regarding outstanding timesheet approvals.
- Generate post-payroll reports for accounting.
- Process employee terminations in HRIS, Paycor, and ensure final payroll and benefits are accurately processed.
- Facilitate the distribution of COBRA General Notices to new hires.
- Participate in monthly HR training for new managers.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma required, bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum (1) one year of experience in administrative work.
- Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook. Paycor & HR systems experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to sit, stand, talk and hear.
- This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
