Overview:
We are seeking a RELIABLE and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our team. As a Hotel Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guests' rooms. Your attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional service will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our guests. Ideally, an applicant who has related experience would be a good fit for the position but we are willing to train the right individual. Hours may vary between 19.5-39 per week. The shift we are hiring for starts at 8AM and ends at 2:30PM. We need someone RELIABLE, who is willing to show up to work every day. You will assist and work alongside with the hotels manager to supplement the work that is required of the hotel. The majority of the job duties include cleaning guest rooms and common areas. The work is more physically inclined then a typical desk job. You will be moving about the hotel on your feet for hours at a time. The primary function of the position(s) we are hiring for is the task of cleaning. However, throughout your shift there is likely to be light desk duties. This includes responding to guest questions, handling incoming calls, scheduling guest reservations, taking payments, and potentially checking guests in. It is important that the person we are looking for keep the same discipline and work ethic they had as they first started the job. The lighter desk duties come after any and all cleaning is finished unless something requires immediate attention. Please only apply if you understand this, as well as the work hours and shift times. Hours will start out a bit lighter and shortly there after move into full-time accumulation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, hallways, and common areas
- Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels and toiletries
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors
- Dust furniture and fixtures
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms
- Empty trash receptacles
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Manager
- Report any low inventory to your direct supervisor
- Perform laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and stocking linens, other bedding, and towels
- Your MAIN responsibility for this position will be the upkeep of the rooms. Assuring they are cleaned correctly, and accordingly to the hotels standards, checking and double checking that they are ready for a guest to check into.
Experience:
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning, custodial work, or housekeeping in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred
- Familiarity with floor care techniques (e.g., vacuuming, mopping, carpet cleaning)
- Knowledge of proper cleaning methods and use of cleaning equipment and supplies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines
