We are House of Healing, and we are looking for a Front Desk Attendant to join our team. The Front Desk Attendant is often the first impression our patients have, so is an important role in our practice. This person ensures all phone calls are answered in a timely manner, greets patients, ensures the patient sees all practitioners, and schedules follow up visits. They also process billing, collect payment, and perform research when needed. We focus on the whole patient and are most interested in candidates whose values align with ours in this area. This position will start as part time, 20 hours per week for the first 6 to 8 weeks and then transition to full time once training is complete.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet all visitors to the office in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
- Use appropriate communication skills with all patients and patients' family members.
- Schedule all patient's appointments and evaluations.
- Provide information and answer questions regarding therapy and weekly schedules for our patients.
- Transcription and record keeping.
- Remain proactive in filling and maintaining physician schedules.
- Process referrals and plan of care documentation. Receive packages and mail.
- Verify Insurance benefits and collecting copayments, and account payments.
- Office cleaning and sanitation
- Additional duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Previous office management experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office preferred.
- Understanding of HiPAA requirements.
- Comfortable working in a Mac environment.
- Skilled at conducting research.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Experience using Cerbo or other EHR preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
