The Houston Apartment Association (HAA) is the leading advocate, resource, and community partner for quality rental housing providers in the greater Houston area. HAA is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of
Member Services Coordinator.
This person will assist the Chief Operating Officer and the membership department.
Job Duties / Description
Ability to juggle multiple projects in more than one department with accuracy
Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to answer the telephone and emails professionally, and actively listen, elicit information, comprehend customer issues / needs, and recommend solutions
Ability to write letters, take meeting notes, create forms, generate reports
Perform administrative duties including, but not limited to, initiating, and preparing emails and other correspondence, making photocopies, scanning and preparing mailings.
Create PowerPoint presentations for HAA events, meetings, and programs
Facilitate the assembly of new member welcome packets
Assist with the coordination of member-related functions and networking events.
Assist in the greeting and check-in for in-person education classes and events.
Aid members when registering online for classes and events.
Utilize association management software (iMIS) system to update and maintain member records.
Provide oversight management of major HAA member accounts
Provide assistance to co-workers by order general office supplies.
Assist with and support the new member application process, including entering applications as needed.
Take notes and track membership points for committee events and meetings
Capture photos at events and collaborate with the Communications team to share them on our platforms
General :
Responsible for receiving and assisting visitors entering the association building.
Must be detail-oriented, professional, and customer service-focused.
Excellent communication, interpersonal time management, and organizational skills.
Must be flexible, able to change priorities, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
Must be equally effective as a team player or an individual contributor on special and ongoing projects.
Qualification Requirements :
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to learn other computer software programs to include iMIS association database software.
Work on special projects and other duties as required to help customers and colleagues and advance the association’s agenda.
Some evening meetings are required. Mileage reimbursed at standard IRS rate.
Education / Training
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Spanish speaker is a plus.
