Medical Front Office Coordinator duties, responsibilities & requirements.
- Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.
- Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients.
- Maintain business inventory such as checking supplies, scheduling equipment, and maintenance repairs.
- Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff, and patient information.
- Schedule appointments between doctors and patients.
- Liaise between medical departments with discretion and professionalism
- Adhere to policy and procedures during all activates.
- Assist with admissions/treatment as per agreed protocols.
- Ensure that stock levels are adequate and orders are made timeously.
- Communicate medical results to patients under clinical supervision.
- Complete accurate documentation of patient visits.
- Answering phones and forwarding calls to the appropriate party, or taking down messages for forwarding later
- Collecting patient information and providing it to relevant medical leads
- Tracking availability and preparing patients before their appointments
- Informing medical staff when a patient has arrived or is waiting
- Ensuring that each patient has the proper documentation and sign-in sheets
- Handling correspondence and file transfers
- Checking on medical staff throughout the day
- Multitasking to balance responsibilities between visitor needs and office availability
- Time management skills for maintaining the focus of office staff and keeping pace with daily tasks
- Understanding of healthcare terminology for relaying medical data
- Excellent communication and people skills and a pleasant demeanour
- Experience in scheduling and tracking patient information/appointments and maintaining supplies
- Training in HIPAA Privacy Rules, understanding patient rights and how to communicate medical histories
- Data entry skills like using electronic-medical record keeping via remote software
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, ICD, and CPT coding (highly advantageous).

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
