Our mission is to create a supportive and compassionate environment for our patients, and we are looking for a new Medical Office Patient Coordinator/Medical Assistant to join our team.
About the Role:
As a Medical Office Patient Coordinator/Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in both patient care and front office support. Your responsibilities will include:
· Greeting & Assisting Patients, ensuring a welcoming and warm environment from the first point of contact on the phone and in person.
- Patient Care Support – Taking vitals (weight, blood pressure, etc.), administering occasional injections, and assisting the doctor as needed.
- Prescription & Pharmacy Coordination – Handling electronic prescriptions, responding to pharmacy inquiries, and managing prior authorizations for medications.
- Forms & Documentation – Assisting with completing medical forms that patients bring in as needed.
- Scheduling & Office Coordination – Setting appointments for new and established patients, preparing charts, and managing patient records.
- Patient Communication – Answering questions, taking messages for the doctor, and ensuring a positive and caring patient experience both in person and over the phone.
- Administrative Support – Drafting patient letters, processing medical records, and helping maintain an organized, efficient workflow.
- Answering Multi-line Phones-Able to handle busy phones
- Supporting & Helping Colleagues-when needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Associate Degree or Healthcare Technical School Diploma preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office front desk or patient services role.
- Medical Assistant experience preferred.
- Strong skills in patient scheduling, prior authorizations, payment collection, and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to type 25 wpm.
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus!

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8 am - 5 pm; Friday, 8 am - Noon
Pay: $15.50 - $18.50 per hour, based on experience
