Summary of Position

The pool attendant is responsible for the removal and resupply of terry from pool areas. The pool attendant also picks up trash from all pool containers and the all pool deck. The pool attendant maintains the pool restrooms, pool furniture and all outdoor water stations.

Reports to Assistant Housekeeping Manager for the Club, Club Housekeeping Supervisor

Receives daily direction from Club Housekeeping Manager, Club Housekeeping Supervisor

Knowledge and Skills

The pool attendant must have conversational English language skills so as to respond to requests and greet members and guests appropriately in English. The pool attendant must be able to use chemicals safely and accurately. The pool attendant must be able to work independently in the public eye and also function effectively as part of a team.

Education and Work Experience

High School Education is preferred but not required. Previous experience in a housekeeping environment is helpful.

Tasks / Responsibilities

Pool attendant is respectful and cooperative with team members and guests. Pool attendant is knowledgeable about safe use of chemicals and can accurately select appropriate chemicals and tools for each task. Pool attendant removes soiled towels from the pool areas and delivers them to the laundry for processing; picks up clean towels from the Laundry and stocks all pool cabanas. Pool attendant maintains supplies and keeps all pool restrooms clean. Pool attendant supplies ice water and cups to all outside water stations. Pool attendant removes trash from all pool and Gazebo deck containers. Pool attendant maintains pool furniture, and picks up trash, towels and straightens chairs, etc. during service hours

Employees in this position will be required to work in a fast paced environment where it is often necessary to complete tasks quickly and accurately. The pool attendant must be able to work outdoors for long periods of time.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to walk, stand and bend for long periods of time. The pool attendant schedules vary according to business needs.. Must be able to push, pull and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and frequently manipulate carts that weigh 200 lbs. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to perform all activities in a professional manner. Must be able to see and read printed matter with or without vision aids.
