Bellflower-based commercial construction and development company Howard CDM is seeking a reliable and team-oriented Office Coordinator to join our growing firm. The Office Coordinator’s responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining office operations, in keeping with Howard CDM’s requirements, answering the Company’s main line, partnering with the Executive Assistant and Accounting Team to ensure proper procedures are followed, and processing employee requests as they develop. As the first point of contact with clients, vendors, tenants and guests, the Office Coordinator must have a cordial and outgoing personality with a professional appearance and demeanor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initial point of contact for guests and incoming calls
- Answer, transfer, and manage Howard CDM’s main line
- Coordinate conference room schedule and arrangements
- Assist with the scheduling and coordinating of meetings; as requested
- Provide a bridge for smooth communication between guests and employees
- Organize and maintain copy/production room, kitchen, and conference rooms
- Maintain inventory of office and kitchen supplies
- Create and submit required reports on an as-need basis
- Demonstrate cooperation, flexibility, and dependability in all daily work activities
- Assist with a variety of administrative tasks including copying, sending company-wide emails, and filling
- Responsible for performing clerical tasks in connection with the shipping and receiving of packages, mail, and company documents
- Assist with various office needs including planning company and team building events, office decorating, etc.
- Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Valid California Driver’s License
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Relevant job types: Administrative Support, Customer Service, Receptionist Duties
- Excellent time management and phone etiquette
- Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat a PLUS
- Associate or bachelor’s degree a PLUS
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Full-Time, 8:00am – 5:00pm
- This is an on-site position at our headquarters in Bellflower, CA
- No weekend or overtime expected
- $18/hr – $22/hr

How We Determine What We Pay:
Howard CDM determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate’s region/town/cost of living.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
