Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Accounting Manager with financial reporting exposure to join our finance team. This role will play a critical part in managing and overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, a deep understanding of GAAP, and experience within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Ensure all financial reports are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
- Manage and coordinate internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards. Work closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation and resolve any issues.
- Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities, including subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting processes and implement best practices. Lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting function.
- Work closely with the accounting, FP&A, and operational teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data. Provide financial reporting insights to support decision-making.
- Prepare and present financial reports to private equity stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with investor expectations.
- Provide guidance on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and other relevant standards. Stay current on new accounting standards and ensure compliance.
- Manage and mentor a team of financial reporting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation required.
- 5-7 years of experience in financial reporting, with at least 2 years in a management role. Public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred) is highly desirable. Experience in a manufacturing or shared services environment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting standards. Proficiency in financial reporting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to various stakeholders, including senior management and private equity investors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Salary : $162,000 - $187,000
