What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller – PE Backed Healthcare position at Hoxton Circle?
Our client provides fiscal intermediary services primarily for individuals who choose the self-directed care model in healthcare.
Due to consistent growth in its customer base and revenues, our client is growing its Mesa, AZ team. A pivotal hire into the team is for an ambitious and effective Controller who will provide comprehensive leadership and management of a growing accounting function.
- Lead and supervise the accounting team, overseeing functions like financial statement analysis, monthly/quarterly/yearly closes, and reconciliations of AR, AP, and cash reporting.
- Spearhead tax reporting and compliance (payroll, property, sales, and income taxes), cost accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations while ensuring timely financial reporting.
- Maintain accounting system integrity, assess internal controls, and identify opportunities for process improvements and training within the department.
- Partner with the CFO and executive management to drive strategic objectives, goal-setting initiatives, and special projects like software migration and technology adoption.
- Coordinate with auditors for financial audits, ensuring resources and responses are prepared, while maintaining policies and procedures.
- Act as a key liaison between internal departments, external customers, and agencies, handling issue resolution, and ensuring timely client reporting and service commitments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with a CPA required.
- 8-12 years of progressive experience in accounting, including team management and leadership roles.
- Expertise in developing accounting systems, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and control within the finance division.
- Experience with multi-company/divisional financials, budgeting, and job costing.
- NetSuite experience is highly desirable (Solomon experience is a plus).
Salary : $160,000 - $185,000
