What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Accounting position at Hoxton Circle?
Join a dynamic eCommerce company as the Director of Accounting where you'll play a pivotal role in driving both operational and strategic goals. This is a leadership role where you'll build and develop a team and have tons of exposure to the C-suite and room for impact. You'll report to the Controller and have everyday interaction with the CFO.
This role is particularly awesome because of the leadership team. They have worked for huge multi billion dollar global brands and I know them personally - they're really impressive and development of people on their team is a top priority for them. You'll have people to learn from and who will always go to bat for you, and a team under you who you can completely depend on.
The role:
- Own the Accounting function for the org - build & manage the team
- Drive process improvement/automation, lead system enhancement and upgrades
- In addition to month, quarter, and year end close, advise senior management on financial strategies & policies.
Who you are:
- Must have CPA
- 7 - 12 years of progressive experience in Accounting
- Must have managed an Accounting team (ideally in a large organization)
- Ideal candidates stated career in public accounting and have transitioned in house.
- Bonus points if you have experience working in eCommerce, consumer products, luxury goods, retail, manufacturing etc.
💵Compensation: $175k -$200k base salary cash bonus benefits and flexible for the perfect candidate!
🏠Office Schedule: It's a hybrid role, 3 days a week in Mid-town Manhattan office.
