Accounts Assistant – manages recruitment advertising orders as prescribed by clients across print, online, and radio applications. This position requires telecommuting 100% of the time.
Only candidates in the Asheville, NC area with the ability to work from home will be considered.
This is currently a part-time, hourly position with hours expected to start at 20 hrs per week, Monday-Friday. Some schedule flexibility is negotiable. This role is designed to potentially transition in the future to a salaried, full-time position – pending market factors and candidate compatibility.
Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with customers and vendor contacts -- provide timely updates and accurate information.
- Provide clients with estimates of the costs of advertising products or services.
- Stay up-to-date on all correspondence and data entry related to assigned projects.
- Inform customers of available options for advertisements that best fit their requirements and budget. Personally review all proofs for accuracy before delivering to customers for approval.
- Perform light editorial work to ad copy as needed/where applicable for various forms of media.
- Track and follow up on progress of recruitment from placement/scheduling to final documentation.
- Deliver customized service based on individual customer expectations and needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Time Management - Must be capable of managing multiple projects on different timelines and effectively prioritizing tasks. Must be self-regulating -- working efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Customer Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Written Communication Skills - Ability to clearly and efficiently communicate in written form. Email is the primary mode of communication for this organization.
- Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Judgment and Decision-Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
- Essential Technology Skills - Must be familiar with using Gmail as well as Google Sheets, Docs, and Drive. Experience with Excel spreadsheets will be considered in lieu of Google Sheets. Experience using Smartsheet is preferred but not required. Willingness to adapt to changes in technology/software use and ability to troubleshoot related updates is essential.

- Must have equipment necessary to work from home. This includes a working internet connection, laptop or desktop computer, and phone.
- Computer operating system must be compatible with Google Workspace.
