JOB DESCRIPTION
The Pre-Roll Team Member, employed by HR MGMT 10 LLC as the Employer of Record, will work on-site at one of our brand partners' cannabis production facilities. This role is responsible for assisting in the production and packaging of cannabis pre-rolls, including tasks such as joint filling, capping, kiefing, packaging, and quality control. The Pre-Roll Team Member will follow the direction of the Pre-Roll Team Lead and Assistant Production Manager to ensure that all activities meet the brand partner’s quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a production or packaging environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Production and Packaging Support:
- Assist in the daily production of cannabis pre-rolls, including joint filling, capping, kiefing, and packaging, following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards set by the brand partner.
- Operate and maintain equipment used in the pre-roll process, such as filling machines, capping machines, and packaging equipment, under the guidance of the Pre-Roll Team Lead.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of pre-roll materials and finished products to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Monitor production line performance and report any issues or deviations to the Pre-Roll Team Lead or Assistant Production Manager.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Perform routine quality checks on pre-rolls to ensure consistency, proper weight, appearance, kief application, and accurate labeling.
- Adhere to all state and local cannabis regulations, as well as the brand partner’s quality standards and SOPs.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch records and quality control checks.
Equipment Maintenance and Cleanliness:
- Assist in the routine cleaning and basic maintenance of production and packaging equipment to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues to the Pre-Roll Team Lead or Assistant Production Manager promptly.
Safety and Hazard Management:
- Follow all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), fire safety protocols, and hazardous material handling procedures.
- Participate in safety drills and training sessions to stay current on emergency response procedures and safety practices.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with the Pre-Roll Team Lead, Assistant Production Manager, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations across all stages of pre-roll production.
- Participate in team meetings and provide feedback on potential improvements to pre-roll processes and SOPs.
- Assist with other production and packaging tasks as needed to support overall facility operations and goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience or education in manufacturing, packaging, or a related field is a plus.
- Some experience in a production or packaging environment, preferably in the cannabis, food, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Basic understanding of pre-roll production processes and quality control standards.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 21 years old.
- Must be able to accommodate a 1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM) or 2nd Shift (Monday-Friday, 4PM-12:30AM) schedule.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required state-specific certifications for cannabis production and packaging.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks typical of a production and packaging environment.
