Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-oriented Desktop Support Technician to join our team. This position will be responsible for delivering exceptional end-user support and ensuring smooth desktop operations across the organization.
Must Have Skills & Responsibilities:
Strong customer service and communication skills
Excellent knowledge of PC and desktop hardware/internal components
Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting
Proficient in current protocols, operating systems, and standards
Ability to use tools, components, and peripheral accessories effectively
Perform on-site diagnosis and resolution of desktop-related issues
Recommend and implement corrective solutions including off-site support for remote users
Install, configure, test, and maintain desktop and network hardware/software
Monitor and troubleshoot peripheral devices (printers, scanners, presentation equipment)
Ensure proper functioning of desktop connections and network jacks
Printer troubleshooting and coordination with vendors for part replacement
Troubleshoot Windows OS-based applications
Knowledge of hardware/software on Laptops, Desktops, and Thin Clients
Familiarity with Active Directory, including modifying user permissions
