Looking for a motivated Desktop Support to join our client's expanding team. This position offers an opportunity to provide personalized and efficient IT support to their diverse client base.
Location: Plymouth Meeting, PA
Work Setting: Onsite // Local field travel required
Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 // Based on experience
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality IT service by following established support processes.
- Support and troubleshoot: Microsoft business applications and Office 365, Various software systems, Hardware including desktops, servers, and printers
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including: Network components (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless connectivity), Remote Desktop Services (RDS), VoIP phone systems
- Administer: Network security measures, Backup systems, Disaster recovery plans, Active Directory (user management, Group Policies, trust relationships)
- Monitor system alerts and respond to service requests using Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools.
- Participate in rotational after-hours support.
- Serve as the technical expert for assigned systems and technologies.
Qualifications
- 2 years in Help Desk or Desktop Support roles.
- Proven diagnostic and problem-solving skills with solid technical intuition.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure: LAN/WAN, firewalls, and servers.
- Familiarity with IT support tools and standard troubleshooting methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, adapt to change, and respond quickly to urgent issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Accurate typing skills for efficient documentation of support cases.
- Experience supporting environments with 100 users; MSP experience preferred.
