Summary:
We are searching for a motivated Payroll Specialist with expertise in construction industry payroll and certified payroll processes. The ideal candidate will be an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of payroll and accounting principles, proficiency with payroll systems like ADP RUN, Paylocity, and Paycom, and experience managing construction-related payroll complexities.
Payroll Responsibilities:
- Perform payroll and human resources functions utilizing a third-party software provider, liaising with the provider’s customer support team on specific issues.
- Maintain a deep understanding of various payroll platforms and consult with customers on features/functionality relevant to their specific business needs.
- Process payroll for construction projects, including certified payroll reporting and compliance with prevailing wage requirements.
- Receive assigned payroll timesheets via fax/email/phone/online and input data into payroll systems. Generate and deliver payroll reports as required for payroll completion.
- Assist with new client/employee enrollment, including data entry from HR Wise Client/Employee Forms.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of labor hours and costs for construction projects.
- Document and track all activity in CRM (Financial Cents).
- Function as the customer advocate, providing internal feedback on how HR Wise can better serve customers, including tracking and escalating bugs and feature requests.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in construction industry payroll and certified payroll reporting (Required).
- Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, including QuickBooks (3 years preferred).
- Exceptional time management, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient with basic payroll principles and practices, particularly for the construction industry.
- Professional demeanor and strong ethical code.
- Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.

Education:
- Associate degree (Preferred)
Experience:
- QuickBooks: 3 years (Preferred)
- Payroll and Bookkeeping: 3 years (Preferred)
- Construction Payroll and Certified Payroll: 2 years (Required)
- Intermediate to high-level experience with payroll platforms like ADP RUN, Paylocity, & Paycom (Preferred)
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
Expected Hours:
40 per week
