The Director of Human Resources (HR) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources department to include but not limited to: Talent Acquisition/Mgmt., Training and Development, Employee Relations, Policy Development and Compliance. This role will also serve as the EEO compliance officer for the property. This is an on-site position located in Atlantic City, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Directly responsible for the strategy, direction, and operation of Human Resources, including Compensation, Benefits and HRIS.
- Implements all company personnel policies and monitors compliance of the same in accordance with company business objectives and state and federal regulations.
- Develops training and development initiatives which align with the company’s strategic business objectives.
- Plans, coordinates, directs, and facilitates personnel training and staff development programs for the organization.
- Performs needs analyses and formulates training programs and schedules.
- Coordinates established training courses with technical and academic organizations as required by the needs of the company.
- Assists department heads with organizational changes.
- Oversees the administration of Licensing and File Room functions.
- Responsible for primary contact with the Casino Control Commission for all compendium related matters.
- Responsible for the completion of the compendium to the Casino Control Commission.
- Responsible for the overall supervision and implementation of staffing, training and employment processes including recruitment, selection, processing and placement of internal and external candidates.
- Maintains accurate records of all employment procedures required by company policy, government, Casino Control Commission or Affirmative Action.
- Directly responsible for the training and assignment of duties to the entire Staffing Department.
- This position also serves as the EEO officer for the property.
Qualifications
College degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum of ten (10) years management and/or administrative experience in human resources area. Previous hotel/casino background preferred. Position requires selected candidate to hold or be able to possess a casino key qualifier license with the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement.
