JOB TITLE: Hand Placer DEPARTMENT: HTI Production
REPORTS TO: Heat Treat/Deburr Lead FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
OVERVIEW:
Load parts into furnace, sort parts, clean parts from belts, wash pans, transfer parts from customer tubs to totes, housekeeping, and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
· Loads parts on moving furnace belt per instructions
· Cleans parts by unloading conveyors using compressed air, water, or various hand tools as per instructions, written or verbal
· Sorts parts for foreign material by performing a visual inspection as per instructions, written or verbal
· Loads totes into the pan washer to remove grease and/or oil, as per oral or written instructions
· Transfers parts out of large tubs or wire containers into HTI totes
· Packs customer finished products
· Cleans, makes and fills “Heat Treat Bags”
· Performs general housekeeping duties as directed

QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or equivalent is required
· Ability and desire to problem solve and carry out instructions
· Able to read, write and speak fluent English
PHYSICAL DEMANDS (*_Physical Demand Sheet is attached_*):
· Ability to work while on an elevated work platform
· Regular use of hands and fingers; stoop, kneel, crouch and climb
· Able to lift/move up to 40 pounds; potentially need to move products up to 75 pounds with assistance
· Ability to work in an environment with exposure to fumes and airborne particles
· Able to work consistently using hearing protection, around heavy mechanical machinery and often in hot temperatures
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
