Job Summary: The Account/Controls Sales Representative will deliver outstanding customer service and generate revenue by developing market potential through forecasting, lead generation, qualification, and closing sales. This role is ideal for candidates with current or recent experience in selling Building Automation Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify market potential by qualifying accounts.
- Initiate the sales process by scheduling appointments, making initial presentations, and understanding account requirements.
- Close sales by building rapport with potential accounts, explaining product and service capabilities, overcoming objections, and preparing contracts.
- Expand sales in existing accounts by introducing new products and services and developing new applications.
- Contribute to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from accounts.
- Recommend new products and services by evaluating current product results and identifying needs.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplish marketing and organizational missions by completing related results as needed.
- Develop high-level relationships within A/E, Contractor, and End-user accounts to win incremental product and service business.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of outside sales experience in Building Automation Systems, DDC Controls, Lighting Controls, and Energy Management Systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Relevant credentials such as LEED GA/AP, CEM, FE, or PE.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas.
- Excellent cold-calling and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in HVAC, Construction, or Service Industry.
- Previous experience with sales to Consulting Engineers, Mechanical Contractors, and Owners.
- Understanding of Tridium & Distech Controls is preferred.
- Strong initiative and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 7/10 Professional, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
