Michelli Weighing & Measurement is hiring a Senior Accountant for Accounting & Finance as a full-time job in Harahan, LA.
Reporting to Controller and partnering with the Accounts Receivable Specialists, accounts payable manager/specialists, and other functions of the organization, the Senior Accountant will help coordinate and perform general accounting duties within the organization while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the organization's overall strategy. This role requires knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
Record & reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entities
Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Assist in all month-end and year-end close processes within the company's closing deadlines
Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the Controller if necessary
Collaborate with the other financial roles within the organization & other departments as necessary
Job Qualifications:
4 Year Degree in Accounting
A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting & analysis
Experience with JP Morgan Chase, Expensify, and NetSuite preferred
Working knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles
Past experience identifying & implementing process improvements & lead change management efforts
