Job Summary
Our busy practice is growing, and we are looking for a new Medical Office Administrator to join the Huey & Weprin, OB/Gyn team! The right candidate will have a friendly and outgoing disposition, a willingness to learn their new role in a fast-paced environment and a plan to work with the practice long term.
This position requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of medical office procedures, and the ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Primary responsibilities include scheduling patient visits on the phone and in person, front office administration duties, precertification of office procedures through patient insurance plans and other miscellaneous medical office duties.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient scheduling and appointments efficiently to optimize workflow.
- Assist with medical collections and billing inquiries, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks for patient management.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions and documentation handling.
- Support office management tasks including filing, inventory management, and supply ordering.
- Work a rotating schedule between our Englewood and Kettering offices.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Office Administrator or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing practices is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and office management best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
