Role: Contract Analyst
Location: On-Site in Houston, TX
Duration: 6-months
Compensation: $30/hour
We are looking for a Contract Specialist to join our client's team in Houston, TX. This is a 6-month contract position with the opportunity for extension. If you have experience in commercial contracting—particularly in Crude Oil, Refined Products, NGLs, or Gas & Power—this role could be a great fit.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and validate third-party and broker confirmations, logging discrepancies as needed
- Work closely with internal teams and counterparties to resolve contract discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with contracting standards, policies, and legal requirements
- Manage contract negotiations and facilitate stakeholder alignment
- Drive process improvements to streamline contract management and mitigate risks
- Maintain accurate contract records and support audit activities
- Resolve contract issues related to pricing, quality, timing, claims, or disputes
- Collaborate with Legal to ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in a commercial contracting role
- Contracting experience in Crude Oil, Refined Products, NGLs, and/or Gas & Power (Required)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, SAP, and other contract management technologies
- Ability to communicate effectively, negotiate, and influence key decisions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with cross-functional teams
