Position Summary
The Busser plays an important role in the dining experience. They help set the stage for a welcoming and comfortable experience that helps our guests return time after time. Our Bussers are responsible for helping run food, clearing and resetting tables as guests finish with their meals. They will consistently walk the floor to pre-buss tables which helps our valued guests to be seated more quickly. Our Bussers are an important part of a cohesive team. They work diligently to support our wait staff and the back of the house to make sure the guest experience is exceptional. This role reports to the General Manager.
Job Duties
- Set tables, clear tables and pre-bus tables.
- Serve water, coffee and refill beverages for our guests.
- Be able to communicate aspects of the dining service pertaining to food that is being served.
- Help maintain a clean and safe restaurant environment.
- Recognize and welcome regular guests by name and cater to their preferences to create a welcoming environment.
- Follow all side work as designated by management.
- Adhere to sanitation and safety policies provided by management.
- Supports servers by setting up and replenishing condiment stands and busser stations.
- Assist in running food from kitchen to guest when needed.
- Cleaning all areas of the restaurant operation, not limited to just the dining area. May include bathroom and back of house when needed.
- Other duties as assigned

- The ability to work in a fast pace, high energy environment
- Able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Must have current Health Card.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Always maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Physical Requirements
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to;
- Lifting, up to 50 pounds
- bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
- Prolonged periods of standing and working in a kitchen.
- Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment.
- Manual dexterity to carry service trays, beverages, and perform other related tasks
This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
