Our Client is a top-tier automotive supplier at the forefront of electrification and the future of mobility who is looking to hire a Senior Manager of Human Resources for their North American Organization.
The Senior Manager of Human Resources will be responsible for a multidisciplinary organizational structure, including Executive Leadership, Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, Quality, and Purchasing functions, along with domestic and international responsibilities.
As Senior Manager of Human Resources, you will be responsible for the seamless implementation of Human Resource activities involving policy development, workforce planning, talent management, compensation, benefits, and labor relations. This Senior Manager maintains a high-level knowledge of the organization’s finance metrics, strategic planning goals and objectives, and cultural values. The Senior HR Manager is also expected to participate and contribute to global HR projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Workforce Planning: Analyze workforce data to develop strategic plans using key HR metrics like time to hire, turnover rates, and promotions. Lead workforce planning projects, conduct cross-site benchmarking and provide data-driven insights to resolve business challenges.
- Talent Acquisition: Align University Relations planning with hiring strategies to secure critical talent. Support employer branding, conduct candidate experience checks, manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for direct labor employees, ensuring compliance with Global Social Responsibility standards.
- Talent Development & Management: Implement and monitor an accelerated development program for New College Graduates (NCGs) to ensure a strong leadership pipeline. Identify and address training needs, foster a high-performance culture through effective performance management, and collaborate with operations to support career growth and succession planning.
- HR Operations & Systems: Support the implementation of global HR policies and compensation activities, including rewards, bonuses, and executive plans. Oversee HR Information Systems to maintain data integrity and ensure user-friendly processes. Develop an annual HR calendar to streamline North American HR functions.
- Employee Engagement & Relations: Develop an effective new hire onboarding program and provide HR advisory services on absence, health, conduct, grievances, and compensation. Partner with business leaders to strengthen workplace culture and implement employee surveys to enhance engagement.
- HR Policy Development: Collaborate with HR and Legal to create and implement effective local HR policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in HR Leadership or a similar role, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment with launch experience.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across various sites.
- Experience with international HR operations is a plus.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Term: Full-Time, Direct-Hire
Location: Farmington Hills, Michigan
Salary: $150,000 - $160,000 P/A
