Intake Manager

• Responsible for keeping shelter at 90% fill rate while working with the medical service manager.
• Manages all incoming calls to insure they are answered/ returned in a timely manner.
• Manages, trains and motivates intake coordinators by providing feedback and monthly 1 on 1’s.
• Consistently looks for improvements within the intake process by identifying bottlenecks and offering solutions.
• Manages all of the intake of animals surrendered to HSTB.
• Handles all RTO’s.
• Handles all euthanasia intake at the shelter
• Oversees and handles all daily fees and donations and makes sure they are processed with the accounting department daily.
• Completes all necessary and requested training in a timely manner in accordance with shelter policy.
• Manages office needs (supply requests, building repairs, etc.)
• Provides management with required shelter reports on a routine basis.

• Supervises intake coordinators to ensure they are interfacing with our key sourcing partners, the public, and volunteers.
• Responsible for disciplinary/corrective action for intake coordinators.
• Performs other related duties as assigned/requested by management.
• Collaborates and communicates daily with the Medical Services/ Foster Manager of any problems or issues that may arise within the intake department.
• In addition to the core responsibilities outlined above, this position may require the performance of other duties as assigned by the manager to support the overall team goals and objectives, aligned with the company's strategic priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required,
• Supervisor or manager experience working with animals required.
• Computer skills: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Other skills required: Excellent Customer service and a sense of urgency and compassion.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

To be consider for this position you must have current or previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role working directly with animals.

This position will require working weekends.
