Reporting to the Vice President Senior Housing, the Clinical Educator plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services to residents and improving patient outcomes. This position is responsible for the education, training, and evaluation of both clinical and non-clinical staff. The Clinical Educator designs and implements educational programs, provides guidance on clinical documentation, and ensures compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Overview :
Our client is seeking a Clinical Educator to join our dynamic team for their Living Community and Home Care Services. Reporting to the Vice President Senior Housing, the Clinical Educator plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services to residents and improving patient outcomes. This position is responsible for the education, training, and evaluation of both clinical and non-clinical staff. The Clinical Educator designs and implements educational programs, provides guidance on clinical documentation, and ensures compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Major Duties :
Educational Program Development & Implementation :
- Develops goals and objectives for educational and training programs related to senior living, dementia care and community services.
- Designs and implements orientation programs for newly hired staff, ensuring they are properly trained and competent.
- Plans, develops, and leads workshops, classes, and seminars for clinical and non-clinical staff on clinical best practices, dementia care, regulatory compliance, and resident care.
- Assesses ongoing competency needs and ensures training is up to date and relevant to current healthcare standards.
- Staff Orientation & Onboarding :
- Coordinates orientation and onboarding for all new employees, ensuring they meet established policies and procedures.
- Provides one-on-one training and support to new staff and addresses any competency gaps through supervision and chart reviews.
